With a busy schedule and saving for a wedding, I am trying to cut back on spending while still maintaining a healthy diet. I love this recipe because I usually have these ingredients in my house, and it only takes minutes to make!
Prep time: 15 minutes
Prep notes: You will need a food processor or blender
Ingredients:
1 cup of pecans
1 cup of dates
4 tablespoons of cacao (powder or nibs)
3 tablespoons of raw honey/raw agave
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Dash of cinnamon
Directions: Place pecans and dates in the food processor and blend until it becomes a sticky consistency. On piece of wax or parchment paper sprinkle cinnamon and spread the blended mixture on top. Roll it out until it is a 1/4 of an inch thick.
Mix the cacao, honey, and coconut oil together until it forms a paste. Spread across the top of the paper.
Take the wax paper and roll it (like a tube) and place in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
